Do you want to improve your Park Runs, road, track or cross country racing performance? Do you just want to safely increase your distances or train with a great bunch of highly motivated athletes? I can assist you to build the endurance, strength, speed endurance and speed through appropriately periodised and benchmarked training programs. I work predominately with middle and long distance runners (800m to marathons).
Because these programs are all highly personalised, there are no hard and fast rules for program delivery. According to seasons and racing calendars we meet at least twice a week for group coaching. We work on the components of running which you need according to your events, strengths, weaknesses, training cycle and ambitions.
I follow in the methods of my coach, Bill Pratt, who in turn was coached by the great Arthur Lidyard. Lidyard trained a great many athletes to produce some of the world’s greatest and most enduring performances and careers. I’ve repeatedly seen many athletes defy all expectations when trained by these methods and indeed experienced this myself.
When you get on board with a personal program I will begin by getting your running history and listening to your running ambitions. I will give you your programs in one month blocks. I will need feedback off you via email at least once a week. I don’t mind if it is daily. If ever you have questions which demand an immediate response you can call or text me. I will also send you an invite to our secret Facebook group where we can share ideas, stories and any information which will be useful to the group.
Your program will be periodised to build endurance first as a foundation for speed endurance. This in turn will serve as a foundation for speed. In addition to running, your program may have weights and strength circuits and well as flexibility and mobility training. You will develop an excellent all round fitness through programs targeting strength, flexibility, endurance and speed. You will take your running to a whole new level.
Programs can be delivered in our training group or they can be delivered online. Group training is $20 per week. Online coaching is $60 per month. Personal coaching is $60 per 1.5 hour session but this is negotiable depending upon frequency.
Zero to Hero courses run for 12 weeks and are conducted in a number of localities.
Each course is a fully inclusive program with everything you need to unleash your inner Hero.
Online coaching programs are ideal for you if your lifestyle or location precludes attending a running group.
